Dr. Paulding is VERY intimidating, but like others have mentioned, he knows his things. exam are ALL multiple choice, and he may give some extra credit Q's. If you work difficult, and understand the material an A is definitely possible.courses are only going to get difficulter, so he is one of those teachers that you'll be thankful for later... |

I liked him! He is a guy that has to grow on you; at first I wasn't a huge fan. But as the course progresses, you really begin to appreciate him. He knows his things. courses are very structured, and he provides note outlines for you. Exams are definitely tough, but not impossible. If you complain about bio too much, why are you a science major? |

Dr. P is a great prof. - he knows his things and tries to get his students to do the same. Unfortunately for students, Dr. P is a really tough prof. and he makes his class very difficult. For the most part he is a great teacher, but he's not always clear, and it's intimidating to ask questions in class. If you're lost, go to his office hours! |

Dr. P knows his things. The exam are difficult, but at least you know you learned something if you can manage a B and above. Wish I could take it over again to do better though. Just study, and when you think your done, study some more. |

Really difficult class and he doesn't curve. 8:30 class, so helps that he's really into Anatomy. I learned a lot, but don't think i'd reccommend. |

His exams do not resemble the courses. The exams cover more specific materials then Paulidng says you need to know. |

LAB: Very difficult prof.. Didn't seem to care about you or your questions. Always singled students out, and never explained anything. exams were unreasonably difficult, doesn't matter how difficult you study. |

His exams are nearly impossible, even if you read the book & attend every lecture. Only people who are get A's, are the ones who have a LOT of previous Bio knowledge from other courses/prof.s. |

I found that he did not like questions, didn't really enjoy talking to students, except if they were doing really well on the exams, and was not that accommodating when you went to talk to him. Only understands one learning style and teaches towards that group, otherwise you will be lost in his class. Very intelligent man, just not a great teacher. |

take really thorough notes, attend SI. if you want to be a biologist or are looking to go to med school, get used to courses being difficult. he prepares you for later and thats exactly what he is supposed to do. the challenge of gen bio 1 is nothing compared to later; paulding effectively teaches his students and asks for them to work difficult |

Paudling is one of the difficulexam teachers I have ever had but I still liked the class. If you are willing to work difficult, take him, if not, avoid at all costs. Go to SI, take great notes, and study everyday and you'll do well. |

I highly recommend Dr. P! His exams are difficult, but I learned that with A LOT of work I would do well. Started out with a low B. Then I began studying the week before the exam and ended up with an A. If you love the material, TAKE THOROUGH NOTES, and are open to a little difficult work then the class is very rewarding. liked IT! |

Great class. great prof. Really enjoyed going to this class even looked forward to it. STUDY for the exams, they are doable but challenging. |
